Abstract
The article examines contemporary problems in training future deaf educators in the higher pedagogical education system. Special attention is paid to the issues of forming professional competence necessary for effective work with children with hearing impairments. Key challenges affecting the quality of professional training have been identified, and ways to improve the educational process using innovative technologies and an interdisciplinary approach have been proposed.
