Abstract

This article analyzes the similarities and differences between English and Uzbek musical theatre terms based on linguistic, cultural, and semantic criteria. The study explores the use of international musical theatr terms in both languages, the formation of culture-specific terms within each theatrical tradition, and the processes of semantic adaptation in stage performance. The findings demonstrate that while English and Uzbek musical theatre share a number of universal lexical items, their national-cultural terms show significant divergence. The research provides a theoretical foundation for contrastive studies in musical theatre terms.
