Abstract
This paper investigates the advantages and cognitive risks of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in English language learning among Uzbek-speaking students. It examines the educational efficiency of tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Duolingo, and DeepL. The study highlights the positive impact of AI in simplifying complex academic texts and enhancing writing and pronunciation skills. However, excessive reliance on AI may reduce learners’ critical thinking abilities and weaken their independent writing competence. The research emphasizes the importance of balanced and pedagogically guided integration of AI technologies in English language education.
