Abstract

This paper explores effective self-study methods that aid English language learners in enhancing their speaking skills independently. Using a case study of the my own experience preparing for the IELTS exam within 18 days through self-directed learning, the research highlights the importance of motivation, consistent practice, and having a strong foundation in general English. This artic to provides practical recommendations for learners and educators aiming to foster speaking proficiency outside the classroom.
