Abstract
The permanent problem of teaching grammar at secondary schools is usually in the passive nature of traditional teaching methods, where memorization and drill practice receive more emphasis than active participation. This study investigates a pedagogical shift from active mastery to passive acquisition through the use of digital technologies and authentic materials in the teaching of grammar for 9-11 students. Drawing on constructivist theory of learning and communicative language teaching methodology, this study investigates how multimodal resources like interactive websites for grammar, edutainment apps, real-life texts, and media sources can promote learners’ grammatical skill and memorability.
