Abstract

This article presents an analysis of scientific sources regarding the quantitative changes of extracellular matrix components in liver tissue under chronic toxic damage. According to the research findings, prolonged exposure to toxic agents increases the levels of collagen, fibronectin, laminin, and proteoglycans, leading to the early development of liver fibrosis. The literature review serves as an important source for a deeper understanding of the morphological basis of liver injury, early diagnosis, and the development of effective therapeutic approaches.
